Taxi driver Gerard Glaister, from Workington, Cumbria, has had his license revoked by Cumberland Council after being arrested and charged by Cumbria Police for posting racially offensive content online. The council conducted an immediate review of Glaister's hackney carriage license, citing public safety as the reason for revocation. Glaister is scheduled to appear in Carlisle Crown Court on August 13.
