Nigeria's Medical and Dental Consultants Association (MDCAN) President, Prof. Mohammad Aminu, urges President Bola Tinubu to subsidize electricity tariffs for public hospitals and educational institutions. MDCAN claims the current hike in electricity tariffs is unsustainable and could negatively impact Nigeria's healthcare. MDCAN also requests a healthcare and education summit, training of medical doctors, harmonization of payments, an increase in retirement age for hospital consultants, and a review of the Consultant's Remuneration (CONMESS) Salary structure and allowances.
