Maharashtra Governor, C P Radhakrishnan, approved a Rs 7,015 crore river-linking project named Nar Par Girna before the Assembly polls. The project channels 10.64 TMC water from the river basin, benefiting Nashik and Jalgaon districts, and involves building nine new dams. The aim is to redirect surplus water from west-flowing rivers to these districts and support irrigation in North and Vidarbha regions of Maharashtra.
