Kayaker swept out to sea, husband attempts rescue, wife retrieved by fishing boat, both hospitalized for checks.

A kayaker was swept out to sea off Isle of Barra; husband on shore tried but got swept too. Husband swam back, wife continued to drift until a fishing boat spotted & rescued her. Coastguard deployed lifeboat, rescue team, & helicopter, but wife had already been retrieved by the fishing boat. Wearing a lifejacket, she was alive & breathing upon being brought ashore & taken to the hospital for checks.
