JICA invests $500m in Nigeria's Lagos-Ogun electricity transmission infrastructure for improved industrial power.

Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) has invested $500m to strengthen Nigeria's electricity transmission infrastructure along the Lagos-Ogun Industrial Corridor, covering Agbara, Mowe, and Sagamu industrial clusters. The project includes building new substations, upgrading existing ones, and reconductoring weak high-voltage lines. Nigeria's Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, also called for improved pipeline infrastructure to boost gas supplies to industries in the region.
