Jamaica's tourism sector has experienced a 13.6% increase in tourist arrivals in the first eight months of the year, with a 5.7% increase in total visitors (cruise and stopover) to 2,098,964. Stopover arrivals saw a 2.2% increase, while gross earnings rose 3.4% to US$1.48bn. The UK market is leading the recovery, expected to bring 326 million pounds and over 230,000 visitors in 2021, a 10% increase compared to 2019.
