India's aircraft MRO industry is projected to double from $2bn to $4bn in 7 years due to rising aircraft orders and government initiatives.

Indian Civil Aviation Minister Rammohan Naidu has revealed that the nation's aircraft MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) industry is expected to double from $2 billion to $4 billion in the next seven years. This growth is attributed to domestic airlines' recent orders for over 1,100 aircraft. The government aims to attract foreign carriers to use India's MRO services and has implemented initiatives such as unifying GST slabs for MRO components and services, extending the period for exporting goods imported for repairs, and allowing 100% Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) via the Automatic Route for MROs.
