Apple revised EU app store policies, enabling developers to communicate outside the app and promote offers on any platform.

Apple revised its EU app store policies, allowing developers to communicate with customers outside the app and promote offers available on any platform, not just their own website. This change replaces Apple's reduced commission for all digital goods and services sold through the App Store. Apple now charges developers a 5% Initial Acquisition Fee for new users and a 10% Store Services Fee for any sales made by app users on any platform within 12 months of app installation. The changes follow the European Commission's June charge accusing Apple of violating the bloc's tech regulations.
