Supreme Court of India postpones Krishna Janmabhoomi-Shahi Eidgah Masjid dispute hearing to November.

The Supreme Court of India has adjourned the Krishna Janmabhoomi-Shahi Eidgah Masjid dispute hearing to the first week of November. The dispute involves petitions over ownership of the land claimed to be Lord Krishna's birthplace, where a mosque and an Eidgah complex are currently located. The court has extended an interim order from January, which stayed the execution of the commission on a plea filed by the Shahi Idgah Masjahid Management Committee against the Allahabad High Court. Multiple suits have been filed in different courts, with a common claim that the Eidgah complex was built on the land believed to be Lord Krishna's birthplace and where a temple had existed.
