Puebla International Literature Festival revokes South Africa's Country-in-Focus status and withdraws invitations to SA guests due to the victimisation of Miss South Africa finalist Chidimma Adetshina and her family. Festival director Ikenna Okeh states that South Africa's current climate is incompatible with the principles of justice, equality, and human dignity the festival seeks to uphold. Adetshina withdrew from the competition after a probe into her citizenship verification by Miss South Africa organizers.
