Nigeria's Federal Government will pay Julius Berger N20bn per month for 14 months to finish the 82km Abuja-Kano highway. The Minister of Works, Senator David Umahi, has also highlighted funding issues for other major roads inherited by the government, including Abuja-Kaduna-Zaria-Kano, Lagos-Ibadan expressway, Second Niger Bridge, Third Mainland Bridge, Iddo Bridge, and Carter Bridge. Umahi urged Julius Berger to collaborate on a mutually agreed modality for milestone execution and funding at reviewed rates.
