NASA's Office of Inspector General report reveals Boeing's poor quality control during development of Space Launch System (SLS) rocket for moon-return efforts. Boeing's shortcomings include unaddressed deficiencies, inexperienced workers, over budget ($2.8B through 2025) and delayed schedule (April 2027). The report cites financial penalties for noncompliance, but NASA opted against it.
