Mountain Warehouse reports £26.2m pre-tax profit, plans 50 new UK stores due to increased outdoor gear demand.

Outdoor clothing retailer Mountain Warehouse returns to profit, reporting a £26.2m pre-tax profit for the year to Feb 2024, up from a £1.5m loss the previous year. The company plans to open 50 new UK stores following a surge in demand for outdoor gear, caused by the pandemic-related surge in outdoor activities. Mountain Warehouse has already opened 20 new stores since February and saw revenues increase by 4% to £386m.
