A man drowned in Horseshoe Lake after swimming away from police during a closed park area.
A man drowned in Washington's Horseshoe Lake after swimming from police during a closed park area. Woodland police officer Alex Olson encountered the unidentified man, who ran and swam halfway across the lake. The man called for help but was lost from sight, and after a five-hour recovery mission, his body was found. The Cowlitz County Coroner's Office will identify the man and inform his family.
