Illinois State Board of Education launches $6M "The Answer is Teaching" campaign to address teacher shortages.
Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) launches a $6 million statewide teacher recruitment campaign called "The Answer is Teaching" to tackle shortages, particularly in bilingual education, special education, and rural/urban areas. Campaign uses digital platforms, targeted ads, and partnerships with educational institutions, receiving 1,750 inquiries since launch. ISBE also invested $45M in fiscal years 2024 & 2025 for teacher vacancy grants.
