Ghana's School Feeding Programme transitions to a digital Information Management System to enhance transparency, reduce delays, and improve resource allocation.

Ghana's School Feeding Programme (GSFP) is transitioning from a manual system to a digital Information Management System (IMS), aiming to boost transparency, reduce delays, and improve resource allocation. Prospective caterers must apply online, paying a non-refundable GH¢200 fee, and the digital platform is set to pilot in New Juaben South and Krachi East districts, with a national rollout planned for the 2024/2025 academic year. The IMS is expected to help eliminate discrepancies and leakages of the past, while caterers must meet requirements including proof of pre-financing operations and a valid health certificate.
