A Fargo police officer was bitten by a dog during the arrest of Zakariya Abdikarim, 38, for trespassing and refusing to leave an apartment. Abdikarim barricaded himself inside and threatened officers, leading to the use of pepper balls and tear gas. After the arrest, a dog in the apartment attacked and bit the officer, who was treated at the hospital. Abdikarim was charged with burglary and preventing arrest.
