Enugu State Governor, Dr. Peter Mbah, initiated a N4.6 billion agricultural and MSMEs support program. The program aims to boost food security, agro-industrialisation, and MSMEs development, while providing key enablers for small-scale entrepreneurs. The initiative offers fertilizers, power tillers, and agri-inputs to farmers, N1 billion in MSMEs support, and N15 million for water provision and sanitation across 135 communities. Female-owned enterprises will receive 80% of the MSMEs support, with a goal to end open defecation by 2024.
