Denmark partially lifts ban on less spicy Samyang Foods' Buldak ramen noodles due to safe capsaicin levels.

Denmark partially lifted a ban on South Korean Samyang Foods' Buldak instant ramen noodles, after the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration found that two of the three variants did not exceed the critical capsaicin level. The ban was initially imposed in June due to concerns over the high capsaicin content, which poses health risks including intoxication, nausea, high blood pressure, and vomiting when ingested in high amounts. The decision was specifically aimed at protecting children and vulnerable adults from potential harm. Following further examination, the ban was lifted for the two less spicy variants, allowing them to return to Danish supermarket shelves. Samyang Foods celebrated the reversal with a ferry event in Copenhagen, where social media influencers and fans sampled the noodles.
