Delhi Police arrested Rizwan Ali, a high-profile terror suspect linked to planned attacks in Delhi and Mumbai.

The Delhi Police's Special Cell, which led the operation, seized a .30-bore pistol, three live cartridges, and two mobile phones from Ali. The arrest of Rizwan Ali comes amid heightened security measures in Delhi ahead of India's Independence Day celebrations. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) had placed a Rs. 3 lakh reward on Ali's arrest, and his criminal history includes numerous FIRs lodged against him, including charges of theft, forgery, and violation of the Arms Act and Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act. The NIA is currently investigating cases registered in Mumbai's Kalachowki and Delhi's Lodhi Colony, and the agency is likely to seek custody of Rizwan Ali to investigate his alleged connections with other terror suspects and planned attacks.
