33-year-old French athlete Alice Finot broke the European record in women's 3000m steeplechase at the Paris Olympics, finishing 4th with a time of 8:58.67. After her record-breaking performance, Finot proposed to her partner, Spanish triathlete Bruno Martínez Bargiela, using an Olympic pin with "Love is in Paris" as the engagement ring. The couple, together for nine years, have been supportive of each other in their athletic careers.
