53-year-old Charles Lee Spain Jr. was sentenced to 25 years in prison for the murder of his wife, Angela Dawn Spain, in Wytheville. He pleaded guilty to second-degree murder, strangulation, and defilement of a human body. Angela's cause of death was determined to be blunt force trauma to the head and strangulation. Spain Jr. was arrested the same day his wife was found unresponsive in their home.
