U.S. Department of Agriculture allocates $2.2M in REAP grants and $3.2M in loans for renewable energy projects in Oregon.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) allocated $2,182,023 in Rural Energy for America Program (REAP) grants and $3,176,875 in REAP loans to support renewable energy projects in Oregon, benefiting farmers, ranchers, and rural small businesses. Since its launch in 2008, the REAP program has provided grants and loans to help agricultural producers and small business owners expand their use of wind, solar, and other clean energy sources and make energy efficiency improvements. Investments aim to help rural businesses, farmers, and ranchers adopt renewable technologies, conduct energy audits, and lower energy costs, creating jobs and boosting local economies.
