UK housebuilder Persimmon plans to build 10,500 homes in 2024, up 5% from previous completions.

UK housebuilder Persimmon plans to build 10,500 homes in 2024, exceeding initial predictions, as new home completions in the six months leading up to June 30 increased by 5% compared to the same period last year. The company has secured planning permission for an additional 6,000 plots, with 1,000 completed in July following the UK's Labour government victory. Persimmon attributes its strong performance to improvements in sales rates and average selling prices, as well as supportive market conditions and the government's proposed housing reforms.
