TSA introduces advanced security checkpoints with automated lanes at Portland International Airport.
The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has introduced two new advanced security checkpoints at Portland International Airport (PDX) with 10 automated lanes each, enabling passengers to leave liquids and electronics in their carry-on luggage for X-ray screening. Updated body scanning machines allow passengers to keep their arms by their sides during the process. The new checkpoints at B and C gates, and the D and E gates are set to open to the public next Wednesday.
