2021 pro-Trump protesters outside Walz's home were allegedly dispersed by Trump's public declaration of Walz as a "good person."

Former President Trump claimed he saved Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, the Democratic vice-presidential nominee, from a MAGA mob in 2020. Trump allegedly told Fox & Friends that Walz called him during unrest in Minnesota following George Floyd's death, asking him to tell pro-Trump protesters outside Walz's home that he was not there. Trump said he publicly declared Walz a "good person," which led the protesters to disperse. Trump's account of the events has been questioned, as it appears to confuse the George Floyd-related protests with pro-Trump demonstrators who gathered outside Walz's residence on January 6, 2021.
