Ola plans to enter quick commerce market with dark stores, robots, and its own UPI solution, launching August 15.

Ola, India's ride-hailing giant, is preparing to enter the competitive quick commerce market by launching a rapid delivery service for groceries and essentials. Parent company ANI Technologies plans to set up a network of dark stores, strategically located in neighborhoods for faster delivery and potentially incorporating robots to reduce human labor. Additionally, Ola is considering introducing its own UPI solution for consumers. The company's initiatives will be announced during its annual Independence Day event on August 15, leveraging the ONDC platform to access a wider customer base and compete with Blinkit and Swiggy Instamart.
