Norwegian firm Miros aids Northern Lights CCS project, Norway's first CO2 storage license, with real-time sea state measurements.

Norwegian firm Miros, a provider of ocean and weather monitoring technology, has supported the Northern Lights CCS project - the first license for CO2 storage in Norway. Its cloud-enabled WaveSystem, combining Wavex and RangeFinder technology, provided real-time sea state measurements to facilitate safe and efficient pipelay operations for this key part of the landmark Langship CCS initiative. The project aims to help Norway and Europe reach their decarbonisation goals, using accurate and reliable ocean insights to optimize operational efficiency and minimize environmental impact.
