Nepal appoints Lt. Gen. Ashokraj Sigdel as Acting CoAS, replacing retiring Prabhuram Sharma.

Nepal's government appointed Lt. Gen. Ashokraj Sigdel as Acting Chief of Army Staff (CoAS), effective August 9th, replacing Prabhuram Sharma who will retire on September 9th after a month-long leave. The Council of Ministers recommended Sigdel's appointment, which was approved by President Ram Chandra Paudel. The handover occurred at the Nepal Army Headquarters.
