6 people, including a family and a couple, were killed in a head-on collision between a motorbike overtaking a car and a car on the A61 near Wakefield. The fatal crash resulted in an 11-year-old girl being orphaned. The driver of another car involved in the crash was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. A fundraiser set up for the orphaned girl has raised over £400,000 for her future needs.
