Karnataka Home Minister announces Rs 50 lakh compensation for deceased Police Sub-Inspector's family, promises job for wife, and transfers case to Criminal Investigation Department without CBI probe.
Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara announced a Rs 50 lakh compensation for the family of deceased Police Sub-Inspector (PSI) Parashurama, who was found dead at his home in Yadgir city. The minister also promised a job for SI's wife, alleging local MLA Channareddy Patil Tunnur and his son Pampanna Gouda demanded money for a posting. Parameshwara ruled out a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe, stating that the case does not fit the criteria for a CBI probe and vowing to provide justice to the family. The case has been handed over to the Criminal Investigation Department for investigation.
