Hostelworld reported a 9% increase in net bookings to 3.7 million in H1 2024, driven by demand for lower-cost destinations in Asia and Central America. Despite a 10% decline in average booking value, net revenue increased 1% to €46.4m. The company's social media strategy contributed to 80% of bookings from social members, and hostel supply grew by 3% YoY. Operating profit reached €4m, compared to a loss of €1.7m in H1 2023.
