GFI LNG and Pilot LNG plan to develop, construct, and operate a small-scale LNG terminal in Salina Cruz, Mexico, expected to be fully operational by mid-to-late 2027. The facility, which will produce 600,000 gallons of LNG daily, aims to cater to growing LNG demand on the Pacific Coast, including fueling the Panama Canal, Southern California, and Central American power markets. The terminal will utilize domestic Mexican gas and is projected to generate millions in direct community investment.
