German flying taxi company Volocopter postponed Paris Olympics test flights of its VoloCity model due to engine certification delays.

German flying taxi company Volocopter scrapped test flights in Paris during the Olympics due to delays in engine certification for its VoloCity model. Initially planned to showcase the technology's potential for linking "vertiport" take-off and landing sites, the tests have been moved to Saint Cyr l'Ecole, west of Paris, for non-passenger flights on Thursday and Sunday. The company remains optimistic about the potential of flying taxis as a low-carbon form of aviation and aims for larger versions to be used in other roles.
