FEMA has approved $61 million in aid for over 5,000 Iowa households affected by recent flooding, tornadoes, and severe storms. The Individual Assistance program provides $56 million for home repairs, temporary housing, and other uninsured needs. FEMA's National Flood Insurance Program has also paid over $5 million in flood claims to Iowa policyholders, with an application deadline of August 23.
