Egypt's Ministry of Planning, WFP launch $200k climate innovation accelerator program for entrepreneurs in Egypt, Jordan, and Lebanon.
Egypt's Ministry of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation and the World Food Programme (WFP) have launched the Climate Adaptation Innovation Accelerator Programme (CAIAP), offering support, mentorship, access to WFP operations, and grants of up to $200,000 to entrepreneurs and start-ups with climate innovation solutions. The initiative aims to enhance climate adaptation and food security in Egypt and targets entrepreneurs, start-ups, companies, and non-governmental organizations in Egypt, Jordan, and Lebanon. The collaboration is backed by the UN Adaptation Fund as part of the Adaptation Fund Climate Innovation Accelerator (AFCIA) partnership with WFP's Innovation Accelerator in Munich.
