Tata Power, an Indian energy company, plans to invest Rs 830 crore in acquiring a 40% stake in Bhutan's Khorlochhu Hydro Power Limited for a 600 MW hydroelectric project, aligning with its clean energy transition strategy. The project, developed in partnership with Druk Green Power Company, is expected to cost Rs 6,900 crore and will contribute to Tata Power's clean and green energy portfolio. The project is scheduled for completion within six months.
