Odisha Vigilance arrested senior engineer Pradeep Kumar Rath for allegedly possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income. The investigation uncovered 42 plots, two multi-storeyed buildings, two flats in Bhubaneswar, 1 kg of gold, deposits over Rs 1.62 crore, two cars, and other assets. Rath, an additional chief engineer at the Odisha Bridge and Construction Corporation (OBCC), could not satisfactorily explain his deposits and assets.
