Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, Kamala Harris' running mate, has ties to China, having taught in the country for a year in the 1980s as part of Harvard University's WorldTeach program. He also established a company called Educational Travel Adventures, Inc., which organized student trips to China until 2003. Walz, while having Chinese connections, has met with the Dalai Lama and served on a congressional committee monitoring human rights in China.
