2 men, Sarkar and Aladu, sentenced to 7 and 5 years in Kolkata for circulating fake Indian currency.

A special NIA court in Kolkata sentenced two men, Asim Sarkar and Aladu, to rigorous imprisonment for circulating fake Indian currency notes. Sarkar received a 7-year sentence, while Aladu was sentenced to five years in prison. Both were found guilty under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act. The trial against another accused, Abdul Rahim, continues.
