Jon Stewart, part-time host of Comedy Central's "The Daily Show," will be absent from the program on Monday, August 2, after testing positive for COVID-19. Michael Kosta will temporarily host the show in Stewart's absence, with episodes airing on Comedy Central at 11 p.m. ET and being available on Paramount+ the next morning. Stewart is expected to return to the anchor desk on August 12. Since his return on February 12, the Emmy-winning program has featured a rotating series of hosts, including Ronny Chieng, Jordan Klepper, and Kosta.
