Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, currently in jail, has requested Lt. Governor VK Saxena to allow cabinet minister Atishi to hoist the national flag at the Delhi government's Independence Day event. Kejriwal is unable to attend due to his detention in Tihar Jail related to corruption and money laundering charges. Atishi will represent Kejriwal during the event.
