Ahead of India's Independence Day, BSES, a power distribution company, issues an advisory urging people to avoid using metal or metal-coated manjha on kites to prevent power disruptions and equipment damage. Flying kites near electrical installations can cause power outages affecting thousands of residents. BSES has launched a campaign to raise awareness and placed its Operations and Maintenance teams on high alert in anticipation of Independence Day.
