22-year-old Gabriela Deras has been charged with murder after leaving her 2-month-old son, Ethan, in a hot car in Houston, resulting in his death from hyperthermia. Deras was at the Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD Services at the time. The Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences ruled Ethan's death as a homicide caused by hyperthermia. Deras is currently being held on a $50,000 bond with conditions including no unsupervised visits with any child and no medications unless prescribed.
