A school van in Jagraon, Punjab, collided with a tree on August 6th, killing a 7-year-old boy, Gurman Singh, and injuring five students. The van was transporting 25 children from a private school when the accident occurred. The driver, Chamkaur Singh, fled the scene and a search is underway to locate and arrest him. Parents demanded the arrest of the alleged drunk driver, accusing the police of inaction against school buses and drivers.
