2nd District Utah Congressional race recount results challenged by opponent Colby Jenkins, seeking to count disqualified ballots in Utah Supreme Court.

Incumbent Republican U.S. Representative Celeste Maloy maintains a narrow lead in Utah's 2nd Congressional District race after a recount, but her opponent, Colby Jenkins, has filed a lawsuit to contest the results. Jenkins claims that some ballots were improperly rejected due to late postmarks and is asking the Utah Supreme Court to consider counting 1,171 disqualified ballots. If Jenkins wins his legal challenge and the additional ballots are counted, they could potentially alter the outcome of the tight race that has, to date, favored Maloy.
