Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology receives $30.5mn Lilly Endowment grant for Trails to Innovation project, creating a community innovation hub on campus.

Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology has received a $30.5mn Lilly Endowment grant, the largest in its history, for the development of the Trails to Innovation project. This will create a community innovation hub on the campus, fostering innovation, collaboration, and economic growth in the Wabash Valley region. Key aspects of the project include the construction of Innovation Grove, a new entrepreneurial district, a state-of-the-art Surgical Center for Hip and Knee Replacements, STEM and Robotics Education Programs, dedicated spaces for entrepreneurial alumni and supporters called the Sawmill Society, and a 5MW solar farm to power the district and promote environmental stewardship. Expected to cost a total of $102.3mn, the project's completion is set for summer 2026.
