New York State mails $350 million in $330 child credits to 1 million eligible families.

New York State has begun mailing $350 million in supplemental payments to 1 million eligible families through its Empire State Child Credit program, providing up to $330 per child. These one-time payments, based on income, are intended to help families with back-to-school expenses and other needs. Eligible families do not need to apply, as payments are sent to those who received an Empire State Child Credit of at least $100 on their 2023 state tax returns.
