India's ultra-high net worth individuals (UHNWIs) are expected to increase by 50.1% by 2028, making India the fastest-growing market for this demographic globally, according to a report by consultancy firm Knight Frank. Currently, India has 13,263 UHNWIs, with 30% of their investments going into luxury real estate, including overseas properties, particularly in Dubai. Startup investments are also gaining popularity, especially among younger affluent Indians, with a focus on sectors like fintech, healthcare, and technology.
