India's PM chairs meeting with key ministers to discuss Bangladesh's ongoing unrest and protests against job quotas.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a key meeting with India's Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman to discuss ongoing unrest in Bangladesh. Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina resigned amid protests against job quotas, and Bangladesh's army chief General Waker-Uz-Zaman announced a caretaker government formed by the military. At least 356 people have been killed since protests began in early July. The protests escalated despite the government scaling back its quota scheme, which reserved more than half of all government jobs for certain groups.
